Craft Corner: Handy Wall Planner

This multi-purpose wall planner made by Choice crafts writer Sara Davies will get the New Year off to a flying start

Get orgnised for 2019 and brighten up any office or kitchen space with this handmade wall planner.

With space for receipts, notes and documents, as well as a to-do list for writing down important reminders, it has everything you need for getting the year off to a flying start. I’ve used my fabulous Winter Wonderland Signature collection to decorate my project, which you can download using the link, but you could easily change the colours and design to suit your own style.

Printable white card

White stamping card

2 A4 mount boards

DL envelope

Slim notepad

Post-it Note pad

Small calendar

Hole punch

Gold marker pen

Finger Lift Tape

Tacky glue

To create:

1) Assemble your supplies and print off two A4 sheets of patterned paper

2) Cut a quarter of one inch from the length and width of one of the pieces of mount board. Cover it in patterned paper and edge it with the gold pen. Adhere this to the second A4 sized sheet of mount board. Punch two holes on the top edge and thread with ribbon to make a hanger

3) Cut one piece of white stamping card to 9 1⁄2in x 3in. Score on the long side at 3⁄4in and at 1in to make a cover for your slimline note pad. Cut a piece of patterned paper to 8 1⁄4in x 2 3⁄4in, ink the edges and adhere to your cover, then attach to your note pad. (Resize to fit your own pad if necessary.) Cut a piece of white stamping card to 3in x 4in. Score on the 4in side at 1⁄2in and 1in. Cut a piece of patterned paper to 2 3⁄4in x 2 3⁄4in, ink the edges, adhere to your Post-it Note cover and then attach it to the Post-it Note block

4) Adhere shut a DL envelope. Use a coloured envelope or colour it to fit your own colour scheme. With the width of the envelope being 4 1⁄4in, cut one pocket from the top and one from the bottom of the envelope, making pouches that are 4 1⁄4in x 3in in size. Cut patterned papers to 4in x 2 3⁄4in, ink the edges and adhere to your pouches

5) Mount your calendar on a scrap of leftover envelope to match in with your colour scheme. Print out the words ‘Notes, To Do List, Remember and Receipts’ on your printer. Cut out and edge it in gold pen

6) Arrange and adhere all your elements to your base board and your planner is complete.
