New flights make US visits even easier
Visiting the USA in 2019 is going to be even easier with the introduction of several new routes from the UK.
British Airways is to launch a new flight from London to South Carolina's oldest and biggest city, Charleston. The twice-weekly service will operate between April 4 and October 2, and will depart London Heathrow and Charleston every Thuursday and Sunday using the airline's newest aircraft, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, BA has also announced a new non-stop flight from London to Pittsurgh from April 2.
The year-round route will operate four times a week,, departing London Heathrow on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Meanwhile, AMerican Airlines has announced a new, direct flight daily from March 31 connecting London Heathrow to Phoenix, Arizona. The new route will help more travellers reach Grand Canyon National PArk, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
On April 2 American Airlines wil also launch a new flight from Edinburgh to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's largest city. The new service, which will be operated on a Boeing 757, wil run daily until October 26.
On May 23 Delta Airlines will strengthen its UK-to-US flight programme with a new route from Edinburgh, to Boston. The non-stop route will operate daily with a Delta Boeing 757.
Finally, Virgin Atlantic has announced a new route from Manchester to Los Angesles from May 26 operating three times a week.

Easter Treat in East Anglia
A three-night Easter weekend break at the Crown and Castle in Orford, Suffolk, is full of delicious things towat and delightful places to explore.

The package includes tickets for a boat trip to the nearby Orford Newss coatal nature reserve. As dogs are not allowed on the Ness (but made welcome at the Crown and Castle), dog owbers and their pets can take a boat trip on the River Ore instead.

See Northern Lights- from above the clouds
The Aurora Zone is offering a spectacular new Northern Lights Flight option which provides the opportunity to hunt for the Aurora Borealis above the clouds.
During the winter, cloud cover can sometimes obscure the northern Lights when looking form ground level, so taking to the skies is the perfect solution. Providing an extraordinary vantage point and lasting for around an hour, the new Northern Lights flight climbs above any potential cloud cover for the chance to enjoy some incredible views from the comfort of a small private jet (capacity for seven people).
The Northernn Lights Flight is priced separately (from £376 pp) as an additional part of the four-night Rovaniemi Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge trip to Finnish Lapland. This costs from £1375 pp, including international flights (London), transfers, four nights' half-board accommodation at Arctic Cirlce Wilderness Lodge in Stella House log cabin (based on two sharing), winer activities plus cold weather clothing and expert guides. Departures until March 20.
